Ed MorseDr. Edward L. (Ed) Morse, managing director and global head of commodities research at Citigroup Global Markets Inc., is the author of the new report “Energy 2020: North America as the New Middle East.” Morse taught international relations at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University (1969-75), was a senior research fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations (1975-78), was with the U.S. State Department as deputy assistant secretary of state for international energy policy (1978-81), and was the U.S. representative at the International Energy Agency (IEA) for Presidents Carter and Reagan. He then became director of international affairs for Phillips Petroleum Co., co-founder and managing director of PFC Energy, president of Petroleum Intelligence Weekly, a senior executive for Hess Energy Trading Co., chief energy economist for Lehman Brothers, and head of commodities research for Credit Suisse. He received his B.A. and M.A. from Johns Hopkins University and his Ph.D. from Princeton University.
